  • Prize for Best Project Abroad awarded by the Professional Association of Civil Engineers of Madrid (Spain)

    Vidin-Calafat Bridge

    ACCIONA Ingeniería receives the prize for Best Project Abroad awarded by the Professional Association of Civil Engineers of Madrid (Spain) for the International Project Vidin-Calafat Bridge. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Public Works of the Government of Spain, Ana Pastor; the Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Transport and Housing, Julio Gómez-Pomar; the Managing Director of the Water Directorate from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Liana Ardiles; the Councillor of Transport, Infrastructure and Housing of the Regional Government of Madrid, Pablo Cavero, and the Deputy Manager of the Department of Town Planning and Housing of the Madrid City Council, Paz González, among other authorities. The Minister Ana Pastor emphasized that "the value and the great satisfaction of civil engineers consist in that their projects and ideas improve the quality of life of people".

  • Award FIDIC 2014 to ACCIONA Ingenieria for the Project M-30 Madrid Rio

    The joint candidature formed by ACCIONA INGENIERÍA, S.A. - GINPROSA Ingeniería, S.L. - Técnica y Proyectos (TYPSA) - Intecsa-Inarsa, S.A. has been awarded with the FIDIC 2014 OUTSTANDING PROJECT AWARD for the Project MADRID M-30 M-RÍO.

    As part of the Project MADRID M-30 M-RÍO, ACCIONA Ingeniería has carried out the Detailed Design of the M-30 motorway underground burial between the sections Paseo Marqués de Monistrol and Puente de Segovia Bridge, the Detailed Design of the M-30 motorway underground burial between the sections Puente de Segovia Bridge and Puente de San Isidro Bridge, the supervision works to bury the Puente Del Rey Bridge-Avenue of Portugal link between the sections Paseo Marqués de Monistrol and Puente de Segovia Bridge, the technical assistance to bury the Avenue of Portugal between the sections Paseo de Extremadura and the M-30, and the technical assistance to bury the South Tunnel of the South By-pass between the sections Santa María de la Cabeza and the M-30.

  • Award for the environment to ACCIONA Engineering receives the European Business

    European Business Award for the environment_1

    ACCIONA has been awarded the European Business Award for the Environment (Spanish section) within the "Product and/or service for sustainable development" category for its construction system for port installations based on composite material caissons and developed by ACCIONA Engineering. This competitive system reduces CO2 emissions and lessens the impact on marine ecosystems in the construction of port infrastructures. The Princes of Asturias has award the prize today to ACCIONA Vice-president Juan Ignacio Entrecanales.

    South highway A-4. Mountain Pass of Despenaperros

    ACCIONA Ingeniería S.A., recently awarded the prestigious Acueducto de Segovia Prize 2013 for this work in the category of Designer, carried out the Feasibility and Preliminary Study and Detailed Design of the roads heading South and North, as well as the Monitoring and Supervision of the relevant Works implementing specific geometric characteristics according to the road type and traffic conditions. The highway projected included 2 intersections (at Santa Elena and with the road heading to Aldeaquemada), 3 tunnels with a total length of 2,625 m, and 6 viaducts with a total length of 2,190 m, 1 overpass, 2 underpasses (one oversized underpass intended as a fauna passage) and 3 walls.

  • Award "Best Business-Implemented Innovations" to ACCIONA Ingeniería for its R+D+I in new Açu Shipyard (Brazil)

    ACCIONA Ingeniería awarded for its R&D&I commitment in the Project "Detailed Design of the breakwaters with caissons in the new Açu Shipyard" (Brazil). ACCIONA Ingeniería carried out the field works, preliminary design and detailed design of the protection breakwaters of Açu shipyard (TX2). The field works and preliminary design were developed for LLX Operações Portuarias S.A. whereas the detailed design was carried out within a turnkey project together with ACCIONA Infrastructures (leading construction Company of the Project).
    The design includes two breakwaters with a total length of 3.500m, of which 2.700 are reinforced concrete caissons creating a sheltered area of more than 180 Ha at a height of -18.00
